The weirdest thing...

happened yesterday! I saw this random piece of paper by the cat water bowl. It kept catching my eye. What is that paper i wondered and why is it on the floor by the water bowl. Finally i convinced someone to pick it up and you wont believe what it was! It was a handmade card from our oldest daughter to her dad at Easter! To a great dad she stated, and a great Easter! The card is decades old...where did it come from? Why now...when she has been on my mind? Now that it is Easter week?! We have not spoken in years. What are the chances of that? xx

In the roll of an eye...xx

Do you roll......your eyes? This was mentioned on Home Sweet Hollywood. The mom- ager at InventoriLA, Sally, rolls her eyes. Maybe it was a trend in the 80's and now grown women continue to do so! Sally was a big time roller and probably rolled her eyes at me, too! Tori is not above the roll either! Tori rolled for me twice. Once when i said she looked beautiful...no debate she did! The other time, it was in empathy. I shared with her the fact that my daughter hates side pony tails, so i do not wear them. Tori rolled her eyes as if to say...the mother/daughter relationship can be a complicated one. Tori knows that very well! Men can roll as well and I would be a miss not to say. I got out of an abusive relationship when my son rolled his eyes at me. I thought I'm not going to be that woman that stays and stays and stays. That was eight years ago. How mighty the rollll...xx

The Lil' White lie .....

at Sears! It was 1977 and we told our daughter, a lil white lie. We told her we were getting her dad a tool for work. We probably did get him a tool. Then we got on the escalator.............and went up to furnishings. There they were...the canopy beds in all their glory. The family had a plan. A script. We would ride up and then... when she looked over at the bed, Papa would ask.........would you like one of those? That was his line. I was the last one up and i saw them embrace...our plan went off without a hitch. Papa was right on Q! Then Nana went and grabbed all the bedding and came back with an armful of actual canopy. I never thought i had anything in common with Lady G. Then i heard on E that she only has tattoos on the left side of her body. Me too! As i started getting tatts i decided to keep them only on the left side of my body. That way if they ever find my body, they can ask my kids... Tatts on the left? Might be her. So i tell my daughter this story........she looks up and says OH i didnt know ur tatts were on the left only? So much for identifying my body!? xx

My daughter stopped in Guido's pizza for the first time. We are the best in the Valley he said! It got me thinking of the perfect pizza...what's yours? Theirs was a bit spicy for me. I like Joe Peeps, a lot! Earthy with olive oil. Pasta Roma good, too! Thin crust with basil. So Guido's got me thinking..................of the perfect pizza pie! xx

My dd is in a new relationship. It was slow to come in many ways but hopefully that is a good sign. She told me there are things she just won't take...like being hit. I am very proud of her, as a daughter, mother, person. i wish them all the luck and all the love! xx
