I always buy the Campbell's cream of chicken for cooking.. My meme loves the Dial pump soap. The soup goes for 1.89 and soap is four bucks easy. I was excited to find Jelly Belly frozen pops. Always something new and fun! What would we do without the 99!? xx

Bowl o' Beets xx

Not sure why....but we always had a bowl of beets on our table at the holidays. It was our centerpiece. I never thought to ask my mom why. It was just there like, family. Of course, they were bright and beautiful. Of course, they stained every white linen tablecloth. Now i buy them and put them on the table after all, they are a part of the family....xx

Sometimes i wonder, what would have happened to The Duggar's, if TLC didnt give them a show. Even though, they have commercial properties, being on a show must be a big help. Being on tv means sponsors and i noticed one of the boys wearing Silly Banz. Would they have owned them if not on tv.? Did they take them off after the shot of them on the bus? Where do the parents draw the line? Each sponsor must be discussed and decided upon. These kids were pretty sheltered and now have been around the world. What would their life be like if not for TLC. I think building their house, was the beginning for them. Dont get me wrong i am happy for them....i just wonder sometimes...xx

Taking Inventori...xx

When I go to Inventori, I try to park out front. Usually i pull onto the street before, just in case. There is a donation bin and i try to drop off some items. Dreama and i walk up the street and pass Mark's Garden. It always smells good and sounds good. We make our way to Inventori and always lament... look there is a space out front, now! We stopped lamenting as we know it to be true. It is a nice, sweet walk after all, with my granddaughter... passing Mark's Garden not once but twice and this time, stopping for a moment to enjoy the waterfall.....xx

The weirdest thing...

happened yesterday! I saw this random piece of paper by the cat water bowl. It kept catching my eye. What is that paper i wondered and why is it on the floor by the water bowl. Finally i convinced someone to pick it up and you wont believe what it was! It was a handmade card from our oldest daughter to her dad at Easter! To a great dad she stated, and a great Easter! The card is decades old...where did it come from? Why now...when she has been on my mind? Now that it is Easter week?! We have not spoken in years. What are the chances of that? xx

A Roast for three xx

Today i made a roast and thought of my mom. When i was a newlywed and had a child, she would buy us a little roast. She did so, because she got herself one, to share with dad. I cant eat if you dont, she would say. Thanks Mom for thinking of us, my little family of three....... 1976 xx
